
On October 15th, the Yellow River Conservancy Commission (YRCC) signed a Five-year (2007กซ2011) Cooperation Framework, which focus on protecting the diversity of living beings in the Yellow River basin, promoting integrated river basin management, maintaining the healthy life of the river and achieving sustainable development of human being, water resources and the society, with the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) officially. The Framework indicates that the two participants will settle the water problems of the Yellow River jointly.
In the future cooperation, WWF will participates in the organization of International Yellow River Forum (IYRF), develop European Union (EU) integrated river basin management, carry on the Master Plan Revision of the Yellow River, probe into the measures and policies ensuring water safety (zoology water, drinking water, and flood control) of the Yellow River, and urge on public the participation in water resources protection and management.
