 [Abstract] The Loess Plateau is facing with more and more serious ecological problems, and developing ecological rehabilitation is obligatory to implementing the scientific view of development. Since 2000, ecological rehabilitation experiments have been actively taken in the selected places in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, and obvious achievements have been made. Some preliminary experiences were obtained, such as making necessary rules and regulations,makingunified planning by government, taking various measures simultaneously and strengthening the management and protection, etc. During the ¡®eleventh five year¡¯ period, it is necessary to perfect all kinds of measures and to promote the sustainable development of ecological rehabilitation in all-around.
