[Abstract] The heavy metals are easy to accumulate, difficult to decompose in animal and human being. They strongly poison the human and livestock bodies who live on the bank, since the Yellow River is the important drinking water source. There are a lot of plants and microorganisms in the wetlands, they can eliminate and store up the heavy metal in the water. The wetlands in the Yellow river play an important role in maintaining the ecologic balance and protecting people health. There are a lot of wetlands along the Yellow Rive and they were damaged in some degree because people are not aware of importance of wetlands. There are several ways to protect, recover, and reconstruct the wetland.
